Dustin’s Place, a nonprofit therapeutic riding center located in Bowman, celebrated its official ribbon cutting with a heartwarming display of unity and community spirit during its first-ever festival and open house event.
The ribbon cutting was a unique collaboration between the Hart County and Elbert County Chambers of Commerce, recognizing Dustin’s Place as a proud member of both organizations. To commemorate the partnership, the Chambers wove together ribbons in their signature colors—orange for Hart and blue for Elbert—symbolizing their shared mission to support local businesses. The ribbon was then ceremonially cut by Lynn Brecht, founder and owner of Dustin’s Place.
Guests enjoyed a day on the farm where they learned about western and therapeutic horseback riding lessons, summer camps, school field trips, and more. The open house also featured petting animals, local vendors, and delicious food, offering families a fun and educational experience.
Dustin’s Place continues its mission of healing through horses, providing programs that empower and inspire individuals of all abilities.
