Four Years In: A Little Rest, a Lot of Character, and So Much to Be Grateful For
Four years ago today, I started working at the Chamber. But did you know it almost never happened? Six months before I was hired, I had applied to be the executive assistant. I only knew a little bit about the Chamber back then, mostly through my volunteer work with Main Street. I didn’t fully understand what I was taking on, but it was enough to be dangerous. What I did know was that I was falling more and more in love with the town that built me, and I wanted to be a bigger part of it. I felt really good
What Makes Hart County, Hart County? UGA Team Wants to Hear From You
What makes a community a community? Who tells its stories, and how do those stories get passed down? A University of Georgia research team is spending time in our community this year exploring those very questions, through a partnership with Archway Partnership, and they want to hear directly from the people who live here. The project will include oral history interviews, storytelling, community workshops, and performances, creating opportunities for local residents to share their experiences and help
